Vlad Cartwright is a partner and president of 720 Strategies. With over 20 years experience in public affairs, public relations and grassroots advocacy, he specializes in developing and implementing community-based campaigns in the areas of legislative and regulatory advocacy, public education, coalition development and grassroots marketing.
He has developed and led successful public affairs and marketing campaigns for corporations, not for profits, trade associations and coalitions in a variety of areas, including healthcare, transportation, energy, telecommunications, financial services, insurance and technology. Current and past clients include US Telecom, PhRMA, UnitedHealth Group, the International Music Products Association, Biotechnology Industry Association, National Association of REALTORS®, TXU Energy, Shell, Wireless Across America and the United States Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to joining the firm, Cartwright was Executive Vice President of Direct Impact, the grassroots arm of Burson-Marsteller, where he spent over six years leading business development and advising clients on public affairs and community-based advocacy and marketing efforts. He has also served in government relations roles with UnitedHealth Group, the Healthcare Leadership Council and Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy.
He received a B.A. from the American University, School of Public Affairs.
