Over the past fourteen years, Suzanne has engaged citizens online and offline to be more involved in civic life. Her experience includes leadership on political campaigns, corporate and association advocacy programs, political fundraising, and marketing communications. Her expertise garnered industry recognition in 2000 from the Business Industry Political Action Committee for an employee get-out-the-vote program, and in 2003 from the Showalter Group for an online PAC management innovation.

Zurn's career in politics started in 1993 when she served as Assistant Campaign Manager for the Sam Brownback for Congress campaign.  Following a successful campaign, she joined the congressman's staff where she served as Constituent Services Director.  In 1996, Zurn returned to the campaign trail this time serving as Finance Director and Deputy Manager for the Pat Roberts for U.S. Senate campaign. Over the course of eight months, she raised more than a million dollars from in-state donors. Following a successful campaign, Zurn worked as Interim District Director for Rep. Jim Ryun before returning to the Washington area in January 1997.

Zurn served as the Communications Director for the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University from 1997-2000.  From 2000-2004 Zurn was Senior Account Manager at Legislative Demographic Services where she developed grassroots political involvement programs for Fortune 500 companies and trade associations. In May 2004, she joined Capitol Advantage to lead their new PAC compliance software division.

Zurn graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and communications, and earned a Master of Arts degree in political management from The George Washington University. In 2003, Washburn named her an Alumni Fellow to the College of Arts and Sciences (making her the youngest alumna to receive this distinction).

Zurn currently serves as co-chair of the Women in Government Relations PACs, Politics, and Grassroots Taskforce.  She is a member of the Northern Virginia Junior League and is active in the Capital Fraternal Caucus where she serves as the national representative for Kappa Alpha Theta.
