Marco Ceppi brings nearly a decade of experience in Web development and systems administration to his role as Senior DevOps Engineer for SevenTwenty Strategies. His chief responsibilities include maintaining the frontend and backend infrastructure of client websites, as well as assisting our technology department in implementing new ways of visualizing, storing and translating data.
Ceppi leverages his considerable expertise working in the open source community with object-oriented programming, relational and dimensional database design, and best practices, as well as the flexibility inherently found in most open source teams. Prior to joining SevenTwenty, he worked for one of the top five-rated business-class Web hosts in the U.S. He also worked on Capitol Hill supporting software for Members of Congress, as well as for several start-up companies, serving the automotive, hospitality and technology business sectors.
Off site, Ceppi is an avid sailor who has plotted and executed several solo-sailing expeditions, including sailing from Norfolk, Virginia, across the Atlantic, circumnavigating the African continent and back again — approximately 20,000 nautical miles — a trip he undertook at the age of 18. He is also a sushi and sashimi enthusiast who enjoys preparing his own dishes. Ceppi is a moderator on stackexchange.com and askubuntu.com.
