Craig brings a diverse business and government background to 720 Strategies having worked in public policy, political campaigns, government relations, and with online constituent relationship management software.

Craig’s career began in financial services at State Street Corporation before working as a lobbyist for the Capital Capitol Group LLC representing the American Business Council of the Gulf Countries (ABCGC) to Congress and the Administration.  During his tenure with CCG, they employed a successful media, grassroots, and public relations strategy to defend the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion from Congressional attack.  Craig simultaneously ran a Congressional challenger campaign in Massachusetts – and his candidate, Michael Jones, raised more money than all the other Massachusetts Congressional challengers combined that year.

Craig was next hired as Governor Mitt Romney’s (R-MA) Deputy-Director for State-Federal Affairs in Washington DC.  Craig headed the Governor’s Washington DC efforts on the high profile issues of transportation, energy, and the environment as well as education and commerce issues regarding traditional fisheries and shellfishing.

Before coming to 720 Strategies, Craig led Convio Inc.‘s government relations strategy regarding delivery of constituent email messages to Capitol Hill.  Craig also successfully worked with over 20 Convio partners to develop successful online advocacy and fundraising strategies for large non-profits, associations, and corporations.

Craig graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  Craig spent the Spring semester his junior year in Washington DC interning for Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) and researching welfare reform.  Craig also received his Masters of Business Administration from Boston College.

Craig has been a season ticket holder of the New England Patriots for 15 years, and lives in Washington DC with his wife, Liz, and their twin boys.
